Aloha everyone!
I've been working on my Arcpunk universe for quite a while now - a wild, quirky, yet heartfelt world brought to life through various artworks and lore-filled posts. Like many creative projects, Arcpunk has evolved, transformed, and reinvented itself over time. I’m excited to share this journey with all of you!
What can you expect? A vibrant mix of posts featuring bizarre creatures, fascinating locations, heartfelt illustrations, and sometimes just the musings of a possibly slightly eccentric worldbuilder. My style? Maybe a bit unconventional, but always created with love and passion.
Let me be real: as someone with ADHD and a tendency for my focus to wander, social media algorithms and I don’t always get along. My content is diverse, hopping between comics, character ideas, worldbuilding concepts, 3D art, and even things like card game illustrations. It’s tough to fit into a neat little box, but that’s the beauty of Arcpunk - a sprawling, ever-expanding universe.
So, what is Arcpunk exactly?
Arcpunk invites you into a fascinating cosmos where "Chunks" - asteroid-like worlds of various sizes - serve as the stage for thrilling adventures and encounters. It’s a colorful blend of steampunk and cyberpunk vibes, filled with exotic cultures, strange species, and mysterious technological artifacts. At the heart of it all is the "Flux," a wild stream of energy that defines and occasionally transforms time and space itself.
At the center of the narrative are the titular Arcpunks - daring adventurers and helpers operating under the guidance of the enigmatic "Arc." They aren’t simple mercenaries for hire. Instead, their missions come through a network of mysterious "mailboxes" managed by an unknown entity. This entity seems deeply invested in creating a fairer world, wielding the ability to manipulate the complex threads of reality and access information hidden from most people.
Arcpunks face power-hungry megacorporations, monstrous creatures, and the hyper-capitalist hegemony of the CCG. To survive - and avoid making the world an even harsher place - they rely on mechanical technologies, mysterious artifacts, and something called "Plainshifting."
For me, Arcpunk is first and foremost an art project. It’s a space where I can dive into my passion for wild (and sometimes downright strange) designs, detailed worldbuilding, and exploring the unique societies, systems, and cultures that make up this universe.
Turning Arcpunk into a tabletop RPG is definitely on the table - it’s a solid plan. The only uncertainty is when I’ll get the time to make it happen. Meanwhile, I’m also dabbling in smaller projects within the universe, like a card game I’m developing on the side. It’s more of a fun little experiment than my main focus right now, but I couldn’t resist exploring yet another way to bring this world to life.
Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who stops by with curiosity and interest. It truly means the world to me! I hope Arcpunk inspires you, makes you smile, or simply lets you escape into another reality for a while. (Let’s be honest, we all need that these days.)
Take care, and watch out for Fluxfloaties - they bite! Wishing you all the best,
– Incen
